I have instead added a 50mm f/1.8 lens, the Cokin ND Grad kit and the Cokin polariser to my shopping list.

Next: more practise. I liked the idea of looking up flickr photos done with D60s, I'll do that too.

Thanks for all your help

Don't forget to add the Cokin 52mm adaptor ring to your list. It would be frustrating to get all the filters and not be able to mount them on your camera.

There is also a cokin A series which uses much smaller filters. They're cheaper, but IMO not worthwhile because they aren't large enough for lenses like the 12-24. So I'd recommend going straight to P series filters otherwise you'll end up like me with a box of A series filters you never use.

Disappointing?

We just let you spend your full budget on awesome things you wouldn't have been able to justify otherwise!

We rock.

If you want to see what you can do with a few very cheap flashes www.strobist.com is somewhere you should spend some time.

What I would say is pick one area of your photography at a time and work on that. Currently I'm mostly experimenting with flashes, and people. but don't try and learn off-camera flash, filters, landscape, ambient all at once unless you've got some mental discipline

Got one already, for sharing other people's filters

Yeah, I shall concentrate on landscapes for the moment since that's what my workshop was on.

Thanks again for all your help, everybody.
