Is that all sv's? My 02 curvy is pretty clunky too, I thought it may need an adjustment or new clutch - I was gonna get it sorted at the next service, but maybe it's just coz it's an SV.

read my previous post to see, curvy's had the same problem, or atleast mine did, and my mates does i think, although hes not much of a sharer, well wont share with me

If the chain free play is a bit loose it can make gear changes clunkier.

That's another thing I've never done on my bike, adjust chain tension. It's about 1inch of play from the middle of the chain if you push it upwards from where it sits normally isn't it?
