I'm not disputing that it was an illegal plate, I just wanted to warn others about the possibillity of having your number revoked for having a small plate

Buy A1 & stick it on your bike .
Be nice and small with legal sized digits . Still some Irish plates about like mine 3 letters and 3 numbers. Perfectly legal to chop the plate back.
