Its defo restricted i know this because a small group of us went to the ace cafe and we had a bit of traffic light grand prix and we was pretty much neck an neck
I would assume once the restrictors are of both bike he would kick my rear end all day long

Kidding.

If your mates bike is reading 115 and it's speedo is 10-15% out, then it's only doing 100-103.5 mph, so that I can believe, but 124 is too much.

In 5 years riding an unrestricted SV on forum rideouts, I've never been 'left behind' by any bike, including 1000cc bikes, on the road, below 100mph.

The difference between 3 seconds to 60mph and 4 seconds to 60 mph, isn't that noticeable in terms of being left behind. It's something like a 10-15 metres gain by the other bike, then as soon as they have to throttle off for anything, you've closed that gap again. If any of your mates think they'll leave you standing, either you can't ride, or they are delusional.

124 seems mental, mine an 05 650s with delkevic stubby, restricted by washers n throttle stop and does 0-60 in anout 7-8 seconds and 108mph top end

I got stopped the other day by a couple of coppers on my 33hp k2 and i knew more about the restrictions, age limits and other stuff more than they did so if your confident enough then I bet you could at the road side (of course no chance on a dyno or if they are bikers)

i have got 110 down hill with the wind behind me and probably get 95 - 100 on a flat

Its the fact they know so little that makes them dangerous. Lad in the Midlands a couple of years ago got his bike seized and dynoed because a copper thought he'd accelerated too fast for the bike to be restricted. It was 1 bhp over and they tried to throw the book at him, and the garage they used wrecked his rear tyre on the dyno and set the rear end alight by not turning on the exhaust extractor. A couple of the coppers off here guided him through the processes, concluded they'd seized the bike illegally, and helped him come to a compromise, gimme my bike back, forget about the 1bhp and pay for the damage, and I'll drop the complaint against you for seizing it illegally then setting it on fire. He was without his bike for about a week, his only mode if transport so got him into trouble at work (I seem to remember he actually lost his job in the end, but I cant remember), and he was stressed as hell about the potential for six points and having to redo his test!

Dont be so confident that you could sort it at the roadside. Come across like you know more than them you'll fail the attitude test and they'll dig their heels in.
