Just about as sh*t as yours probably, we can find out when you get your own dirt bike and show us how it's done.
I choose to go slower on the road btw, I doubt I'd have trouble keeping up on the road with you if I wanted, no trouble at all in fact. |

The impression I got last year was that the guys there assumed you had no knowledge of what to do on track beyond knowing the mechanics of riding the bikes. I wouldn't think any green laning experience would be that useful, as the circuit is sand - but if your lanes include the vast deserts of the west midlands, you might be on to something
![]() In principle, this is more like an off-road novices track day than anything to with road bikes and road riding. |

Some of lanes can be sandy actually, I bet the bikes feel like motorised bmxs compared to my lardy drz (138kgs I think)

Excuses excuses Phil, get signed up!
Having off road experience didn't hurt but Riding the lanes wasn't anything like riding an mx track. You will have an advantage though, for a start you'll have the knowledge that front brakes do work on dirt. You'll also be a lot more familiar with the bike moving around underneath you. Stepping the back out wont seem alien, your body movement won't be as difficult to learn as you'll already know most of it. Bollox on the tank into corners, lean weight back on the exit etc C'mon Phil c'mon c'mon c'mon |

Oh and bike wise, if I recall they had 3 Klx 250 2t, 3 Klx 250 4t and 2 Klx400 4t's which as you know are exactly the same bike as a Drz under the chassis.

What excuses matt? Apart from time and finances, Id love to come, I'm sure I'd learn a hell of a lot even though I ride a dirt bike regularly.
The terrain changes a lot on lanes, one minute mud, next minute sand, wet grass, dry dirt, loose stones, compacted stones, tree roots etc etc. |
