Default Sale of write-off question!

Do you have a pick of the break in your frame?
I ask because the pointy has a crappy tube welded inside the frame that seems to serve no purpose other than to mount a road crap guard which protects the switch gear connectors getting ****ted up.
Because its such an unimportant part the weld is terrible. It may be yours isn't actually broken.

Sounds like that part!
It's hideously badly welded (particularly in comparison to the rest of the really nice welding on the frame!) and doesn't seems strong enough to be properly structural!
There is a pic attached.

I've been collected the frame and been through the garage to sort some stuff to sell... I really NEED to fix my bike!
I'm going spare having not ridden in over a year, so have to get the money from somewhere!!

Its ONLY HPI clear because the damage wasnt recorded. No way and insurance company would allow that frame back on the road.

Yours I'm assuming is either a Cat C or D and in which case it can return to the road with nothing more than an MOT been required.
If yours is cat b then its still able to be used on the track, but unable to return to the road.

For what its worth I'm about to sell a frame and swing arm from a Cat D bike, I'm not expecting more than £150 for it.
Some dirty c*** of a ringer will buy it and mug someone with it

shouldn't be allowed to sell stuff like that.

That was exactly what I thought - particularly with the price of it in the state it's in! Can't think of any other reason for buying it!
Don't think I've ever seen a frame in that sort of state before, and I've been marshalling for over 10 years now!!
