Actually, it wouldn't be theft as part of the definition is that you are permaently depriving the person of their property. Blackmail may be a more appropriate offence, but even that's debatable.

I'd be tempted to build a relationship with the flagpole owner before doing this though, as you have no idea of the circumstances of his life or the stresses that he's under. It could be a straw that breaks the camel's back.

I think if you left the Rossi flags for him, he's more likely to see the funny side (nothing to get ****ed off about) and as that's the point, I'd leave them there. But definitely do it.

Going for another walk/reconnoitre this evening and I've spent ages looking for Lorenzo flags on the works internet (can't get ebay)

Its looking like I may have to print of my own flag with this on it.



There were also shouts from people at work that I should put up a flag with this as well
