Funny that I've got two white ones illuminating my number plate and two Blues shining on the front discs. I'm not to sure about the hot wirez stuff, perhaps if it was done tastfully ?

But as for the LED bolts I think they look alright and the back ones solved the "hideous plastic thing" ( Standard number plate light) problem nicely.

Cheers Mark.

the leds are okay(if done tastefully), but neons are just plain tacky no matter how used, i used leds as a number plate light when i cut the plastic mudguard off my bike

the poll did say "neons, sleek or geek" nothin about led's other wise i would have said that in my opinion

Neons on a bike would look cool if you could do them properly. Im form the days of Car neons, 1st time Round(Had them on the XR2)

Anyway, they need to be hidden, so you can only see the light produced form the Neon, which isnt easy on the bike, to be honest its difficult on cars to. If you can actually see the tube, then i think it looks crap. You can get very high intestiy LEDs now that would be easier, as they have a very narrow beam anlge, so would clear from the sude but produce a spotlight effect.

Just my opinion

I was just going to say what Vinyl said, I totally agree with him. If you are going to put on neons the trick is definitely to do it so you can't actually see the neon tubes themselves but just the light produced from them, that can look pretty mean especially if you are talking like a blue bike with blue neons (or perhaps white neons?). The only other thing is don't go over kill, too many neons you will look like a boy racer.

I have never seen people where I'd actually want to say they look so 'gay' as in happy.

Bloody good idea. they last longer and look cool. However much better on a new bike that comes with it. Talking to an Rac bloke at the weekend, who told me about the new buses in London. Basically he was saying that having Neon lights on a bus, cuts down the wiring as all the lights/indicators/brake lights can be controlled by a cpu, sending different pulses at different frequencies, therefore cutting down on wiring (Live and Earth) to each individual light. Suppose it makes it easier to find a fault and repair. I wonder if this idea will catch on with bikes. With all lights as LED's.
