Suspension is a must for the SV, and I wish now that I had taken others advice and sorted this before blowing my cash (and present opportunities!
 ) on cosmetics and soon to be, engine mods Still, it looks good

To be honest, I think the bike setup from standard isn't too bad (apart from those stock dunlops
 ), It's the cosmetics that aren't 'too pleasing on the eye'...If you can put on a can, some lowers (or at least a belly pan), a hugger & get rid of that '3rd world debt' (there's so much of it  ) back fender, then I think you're half way there... For me anyway Engine mods & suchlike will come later for me, when I've grown a little with the bike... As soon as I've knackered my tyres, then I'll be gettin' some 010's or 020's (or maybe a combo of both) on

I find the stock suspension is fine for 99% of the time. the suzuki OEM seat cowl looks the business, Double bubble screen keeps the wind off and the scottoiler takes care of itsself. A fenda extenda to keep water out of the front plug and a carbon remus exhaust 'cos it looks the business.
I like the bike half faired although my engine is looking a bit crusty now despite the odd clean! |

oh yeah and bridgestine bt020 front and rear I've had 9000 miles out of a front and 5000 out of a rear. splendid in the wet too

This is a very unfair poll, So far I've fitted a Roco Belly pan, have a Roca undertray to fit on have braided hoses again still to fit, small rear indicators to fit on, flush front indicators already fitted on and when I have the cash a new exhaust is the next mod.
What you want to modifiy your bike to is a personal preference not the whims of the fashion police, please think, if you want to mod your bike do what you want, dont follow fashion/popular opinion, a bike is yours show you personality not soemone else's. H |
