But seriously, it 's a great idea, but the work involved may be prohibitive and this web site is, after all, on a volunteer basis

Well I think people like the idea, polls running smoothly but will probably increase when everyone is back at work tomorrow.

I have not emailed John as of yet as i want to see if there are any more ideas floating around, as it is everyones site not just mine.

So we are going to have one folder (that what i call it anyhow) with an on-going thread for each topic from tyres to lids to law to cleaning products and then let the members start adding there own posts in which ever thread...am i on the right lines here?????

Yeah, that sounds right to me. One subsection for tyres, one for lids, etc (sub-section as in Idle Banter, General Discussion, etc.) Although I wonder if this would mean that things would get too fragmented...?

It's a good idea though, without doubt, and would be really useful for everyone

I thought about this, but thought that it would make the index massive, so i thought about one 'sub-section' with the various threads contained within.

or...

in a category called Reviews, sub sections listed:

Bike- containing sticky threads on tyres, huggers, fairing, cleaning items..etc

clothing- lids, leather 1/2 piece suits, jackets, trousers, boots, gloves..etc

and then leave everything else for the other threads.

Does that make sense?

There is no-one more knowledgeable than the SV riders..ok

How about these:

"Members reviews"

"tried and tested kit"

"CRnP or NOT"

"The good, the bad and the in-between"

"Whats hot and wots not"

"Boutique bonanza"


Hows that for a few ideas
