Yep my Diabloslasted me over 5000miles the first set and under 5000miles the second. I've now switched to Met Roadtecs for the winter, Rictus raves about em.

lets see how they fair on the 'thou

Just put on a set of Diablos to replace my M1s. Got 5000 miles out of the M1s and the Diablos are meant to be a slightly harder compound so I'll have to see. Feeling good so far though.

I've just had a set of Diablo corsa's fitted on my Blade last week , only done a few hundred miles on them but well impressed with so far . Came though the New Forest Sunday night about the quickest ever, normally the roads though the forest are quite slippy this time of year at night, but the level of grip i got was just superb ! Felt totally confident in them in no time. One of the reasons i went for them is that they heat up so quickly and give great grip which i think is essential this time of year and they are meant to be excellent in the wet to . I know they might last as long as other tyres but for me grip is everthing especially this time of year . I'll let you know how i get on with them over a longer period, but initial impressions - superb !

Corsas are a different tyre though aren't they? IIRC Pirelli recommend them for road and track use

Yes Corsa's are slightly different, i belive they are more 'sporty' than normal Diablo's. You can also get 'super corsa's which are basically cut slick's ie track tyres . I have a mate who is using them on his CBR600RR and is an ex racer and does loads of track days and he loves them, and I've ridden his bike with them on and was well impressed with them myself . I belive the Diablo's have a certain amount of silicon in their compound and this allow's them to heat up very quickly. The other thing i've found with the corsa's is the amount of feedback i was getting back , particularly from the front end, i could really feel the road surface and what the bike was doing, which when you've got a 140 ponies to play with is kind of handy . I think this might have had something to do with my somewhat er 'rapid' progress on Sunday . My mates on the Honda forums site have been raving about them and i can now see why .
Shame i never tried them on my SV when had her but would imagine that if you like good hard riding , with with tyres that give you loads of confidence then Diablo's/Corsa's would be worth considering .

Don't think you can get super corsas in SV sizes- I'm looking at a Corsa for my spare front wheel, or mebbe a Rennsport or similiar.

The Rennsports are the other tyre that my mates on the Honda site rave about, meant to be excellent as well .

I've only heard one person say bad things about either, and that was a Kwak rider who was trying to blame his incompetence on his tyres
