Well it's on - and damn it's LOUD!!

Cutting the old pipe only took about an hour and a half with a junior hacksaw (well 2 junior hacksaws if you count the one that broke half way through!). I used the link pipe to connect the new can having not read Sharpy's reply before I started fitting it.

My mate came round on his 748 (with Termi pipes) and even he said it made his bike sound quiet!

Has anyone ever passed a copper with one of these cans on and not been pulled over?

I could not find the exhaust bands on Ebay. Anyone got any other ideas on how to remove the 'NOT FOR ROAD USE' stain on my exhaust?

I also had issues with the strap for the can. It seems too short to join the two ends together and then bolt to the bike, but too long, leaving a gap, to bolt one end either side of the rear peg. Anyone had a similar issue, or know where you can get exhaust straps?

Try here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MEWA:IT
They also do hanging straps for seven and a half quid, which I wish I'd known before making one myself which was a right ball ache!

If your buying the can from art then you can also get a link pipe which allows you to reconnect your old pipe with no hassle, you can also get a high level link pipe which brings the can up higher.

For cutting your old pipe most use an angle grinder altho some have tried with a hacksaw.

Anyway make sure you put a block of wood of something behind the old pipe where your cutting so you dont end up cutting into the swingarm.

Its this the same undertray as cloggsy's? Where's it from, I want one!

My ART Pro-Race Slip-On (stainless) is on good now.

The issue - I bought mine off of Ebay (new), and on teh box it says 03' SV650 in marker, and on the barcode labels. However the part number is for an SV1000. The large end of the link pipe was the same size as the stock pipe. Not sure whether I got the wrong kit, or my US bike differs, such as my stock pipe from can to collector had catalytic converter like baffaling/material for an inside pipe (which is now removed). I had to reverse the link pipe and weld in the end going inside the stock pipe.
Issue taken care of as of today.

Can sounds fantastic. Nice low tone at lower rpms, still racey sounding though and not like a cruiser. At higher rpms sounds like a rocket is rushing by. A soon as I fired it up for a buddy, he was astonded. First light we get to he looks over pushing me to rev it up.
Any HP difference? I sure as hell think so. First gear power wheelies are uncontrollably easy now (not the on-off techinique but just gasing it), 2nd gear clutch wheelies are as easy as first gear clutch wheelies usd to be, and almost brings the front up a bit in 2nd gear under throttle with a full tank of gas. Goes through the rpms a lot quicker, same with the speeds. Also smoother when downshifting and going to WOT (acceleration wise).

Would I buy this again, hell yes. I love it.

Thought people might want to hear an exhaust clip. Doesn't really do it justice since the camera muffled it a bit.
