I think he may need more help in riding his bike than tips for the bedroom.

Sorry had to say that.

Yeah bring your missus along, most times my lass comes down and makes the guys smile!

Hope to see all the guys and gals this friday!

Ride On

Sorry guys - I won't be able to make it. Our student dogsbody has decided that he wants to leave and spend a third year drinking subsidised beer with 18-22 year old women by the beach in Brighton. So we're all going out to drink some expensive beer with the city suits to commemorate this fact.

However, I hope to make it along soon one of these days...

Welcome! I too am new to the big bike thing, having passed DAS in August. Spent lots of time zooming up and down the Embankment my first few weeks of ownership. The only additional advice I'd give is: don't worry too much about slipping the clutch a lot. I don't know if it's just a big bike thing or related to the SV twin thing (the latter I reckon) but it's mighty twitchy in 1st and 2nd until you develop throttle sensitivity. Oh, and going over speed bumps, clutch in for same reasons. The only other thing is to ride very carefully indeed until the tires and brake pads are scrubbed in a bit. It's almost like riding on ice for the first few miles. Hope to see you at Nero's!

Default Slowly getting there

I'll do my best....

I'll just have to accidentally go out this Friday in a pub just around the corner and then bump into people

Is it just me, or as I've got a new toy, any rustle of the wind outside my flat and I've got my nose stuck up against the window!!

Wait until it gets covered in snow. Or is out there in the hail I hope you have a cover for it. I manage to get a top of the line cover for mine, it's called a garage.
