Yes but it's the buzz. It's a bit like the old Harley maxim: "If you have to ask you wouldn't understand".

Trouble is, on the inside, I'm still a bit of a hooligan. Takes enormous self-control to behave on public roads (probably a more acute sense of self-preservation too ).

It is big and it is clever . However it's also feckin' dangerous and costly if it all goes pear-shaped.

My advice? Don't do it unless you're prepared to take the risks. There again, that goes for biking in general too.

Couldn't have put it better!!

BTW for future reference dont do it in front of a fully uniformed Traffic Cop!

He may want, shall we say, a quiet word!

Think of your licence, how much biking pleases you, and the safety of yourself and others.

Ride On

Yeah, I have been riding dirtbikes since I was about nine, just this bike is so much heavier and everything just wanted to know how the change was going to be. I've done small ones like when I accelerate hard the front comes up through first and second but only a few inches.

Off topic but I'm a firm believer in starting with offroad riding before street riding. Having little traction from rain or inclimate surface condtions doesn't bother me at all because I was used to how bikes handle from the years of mud/dirt riding.

try it. i ride all my bikes for my enjoyment, which usually means i'm a general nuisance and PIA to the general public. This includes running my hot-rodeded street 2-strokes with the front wheel in the air at every chance and wide open unbaffled stingers at 10 grand.

fook em. try the wheelie. if ya don't like em, don't do them. Won't know until you try.
Just cover the rear brake and throttle off when it goes too high. SV's are made for em.. just not for 3 mile ones!
