Taking an SV for a test drive friday AND saturday - Page 2 - SV650.org

Well, its been a long weekend. My dad and i went to the shop, to do a few test rides. He rode the new "Rune", and that thing is huge9and fugly). Then I asked about the SV650, and they said it was in the warehouse, and someone was sent to get it. About 15 minutes later after looking at other bikes my buddy Jeff informs me that the guy who was "fetching" the bike has "layed it down". I could care less since it seemed to not have any damage, but the "guy in charge" said its not safe till they give it a full inspection and blah blah blah. The only other SV they had at the shop was a new SV1000 but it is too much bike for me. I rode a new Honda Shadow Spirit 750(shaft drive, sport cruiser look), pretty nice, but i think my dad wants me to have it more than I do. It seems like it would be better on long trips, and that what I will do mostly...3 hours one way to Family's house. I drove a used Ducati 620, closest thing to a SV they had. it was a little jumpy on the ger change, or maybe it is just me. I ended up taking the Honda Shadow Spirit 750 for a good ride, and it is nice with the low seat, but too damn quiet. Still, gotta get on an SV. But it Sure did feel damn good to be back on a bike....period.
