Im afraid it is well known that the paint finish on the mark two bikes is generally not as good as the 'classic' shape. This was again mentioned in last months RIDE magazine.

Jeez I think it sucks when guys are seeing noticeable deterioration to their bike after relevantly small periods of time. I know Suzuki tend to get bad press regarding finish etc. but I am not at all convinced they deserve such blanket statements.
Fortunately my bike has not seen anything other than blue skies and my washing of the dust involves a well sudded but not dripping wet sponge and then a wipe with a chamois leather. Wheels are done with a rag containing WD40 and I never get involved with polishes or sprays. the biggest cleaning job is the ocasional attack of the down pipes with a soft rag containing a Autosol type compound. Sorry to some fellas, but my bike is absolutely mint with no hints of wear and tear at all. ![]() |
