Two Words, CARNAUBA WAX.
4 1/2 years and 80000 km's, and paint is immaculate

Im afraid it is well known that the paint finish on the mark two bikes is generally not as good as the 'classic' shape. This was again mentioned in last months RIDE magazine.
Cue comments from mark two owners!

Ahem.....as the dealer is the representative for Suzuki and the vendor of the product I'd say its perfectly acceptable to whinge at them as much as we like.

They have covered things like this but doubt very much they would replace the front fender where the brake lines have been rubbing if they are braided lines. If they are standard then they will assess.

OK I'm going back this afternoon to have a moan. The dealer fitted my braided lines so it's their fault they've been rubbing, the whole point in me paying them to fit it was so that it wouldn't invalidate the warranty, and I'd have come back were something like this to happen!

Jeez I think it sucks when guys are seeing noticeable deterioration to their bike after relevantly small periods of time. I know Suzuki tend to get bad press regarding finish etc. but I am not at all convinced they deserve such blanket statements.
Fortunately my bike has not seen anything other than blue skies and my washing of the dust involves a well sudded but not dripping wet sponge and then a wipe with a chamois leather. Wheels are done with a rag containing WD40 and I never get involved with polishes or sprays. the biggest cleaning job is the ocasional attack of the down pipes with a soft rag containing a Autosol type compound.
Sorry to some fellas, but my bike is absolutely mint with no hints of wear and tear at all.
