Dont clean my bike that often in summer by winter I will be cleaning it more often as I dont want the road salt to eat it away and end up with a pile of rust

aluminum & plastic don't rust. the aluminum alloy used in SV's does not corrode with salt

It just don't happen, at least not to MY SV that never gets washed and has seen 5 winters and 105,000 miles.
