Sorry to hear of your loss the same thing happened to us five weeks ago, you just dont relise how much of a family member they become we were gutted for weeks. We decided to get a new dog last week, a year old Greyhound from a rescue centre. He has alread made himself at home and is helping us get over the loss of honey.

It is very hard when you lose a pet. We owned our previous dog for 13 years.

We've also got a rescued ex-racing Greyhound and I'd love to post a pic of him on here to show you but not 100% sure what to do . He's great

I think Greyhounds make lovely pets. This is where we got him from http://www.grwe.co.uk/

My scooby was only 7 1/2 years old. The vet said he was very unlucky, had heart problems, then was diagnoised with lukemia in June this year. He caught an infection last week and was ever so pooly. Picked up a bit after last wkeend then on next visit his heartrate was 188, and he had an inflamed liver.....there was nothing more that could be done for him....not if i did'nt want to prolong his suffering. Come Friday night the noise of the fireworks just about did him in. I couldn't let him suffer anymore so i made the call.

Greyounds in need are good they have some new dogs from Spain at the moment that I may give a home to, Tia and shia Greyhounds are all good.
A bike club down south raise funds for Greyhounds in need. Maybe a good idea for future SV days.

I know this has nothing to do with biking issues but bare with us dog lovers a bit
