If IB is dumped then all those meaningless mega-threads will appear in other sections. Far better that they are confined to one particular section.

Where is the section for "The 4-Pot Massive"?

I have to say, this site isn't what it used to be (when I first 'signed up')

Amarko5, splke & myself have discussed this on many occasions...

I still enjoy the site, but it isn't 'like it used to be'

Its all subjective, yes it has changed since I joined but, nothing every stays the same and the people and the site are dynamic and change all the time.

As for the mega posts, well I have met a great bunch of people through posting and chatting in there, and my life has changed for the better since I started posting in idle banter.

I post in the other sections if I feel I can add something relevant, and I've learned loads from here and still continue to do so.

I dont like the idea of a chat room, and personally if idle banter goes then I wouldnt start another mega thread in a section where it wasnt appropriate, I'd still use the site though.

I pretty much like it like it is, if things are going to be changed the I think I would prefer it if humour and idle banter were split up again.

This is a free site and the people that run it give up their time to do so, so lets stop mindlessly winging about it and if you dont like it, why not offer to help out the admin team and change it for the better ?

Just my thoughts..

What the hell is the point in this thread? Do amarko and co. really think that all the people who use idle banter would talk more in the bike sections if it was removed? Its as if you belive that idle banter is stealing people from the bike sections. And since you've not come up with any bright ideas for making the forum 'better', why bother bitching?

The forum is a direct reflection on what people use it for. The different sections are for relevant posts, but some will always mis-post. I can't force people to post SV related items.

I too think it's become a chat room, but then again I don't spend my whole day thinking and talking about SV's, so perhaps the forum is reflecting the real world.

Personaly i couldnt give a toss. These kind of forums are what we make them. At the end of the day thats what its become. Before long you lot, yes you know who you are, will start saying that only people who ride a bike, well even, only those who ride SV's are alowed to use the site.

You can only say so much about a bloody bike. Its got 2 wheels and engine and 2 styles. What has been done has been done to them by probably everyone on the site in one way or another.

Yes i agree that the site needs a chat room, but if like me, they cant be got at through a firewall so it has to be the way it is.

However, the merging of some of the groups into one, has blurred IB somewhat, and the SV bits all into one also with the same effect.

What we have to understand is that this site is run by one person, and administered by 2 and all for NOTHING. These people are doing this in thier spare time, and if it makes it easier for them to administer, then so be it. How many of you out there have thier own websites? How long does it take you to administer say, 3-4 pages?

At the end of the day the site has evolved to what it is throught the people that use it. Thats waht makes this world a fasinating place to live. We are all different.

Now, the site has a search function, use it. You know roughly where things are going to be, then look for them. Life aint easy.

So quit ya whinging and be greatful that there are a couple of people out threre, that are willing to give up thier time, to bring you one of the best resources that you will find for the SV.
