I used the book and over a weekend studied it,basically read it once through, got 100% on that bit, and 80% on the hazard bit. But the hazard bit is stupid as there are bits i would click the button at because i can see something coming up (i.e. a truck approaching from an ajoining road 100m away) that i don't think you are meant to notice.

Anyway, there is a sample test on the dvla website, you should just use that

Conni you have mail...

thank you for all the other offers of books etc, i think i'd be better with the CD's as it'll be more like just meesing around with my computer, rather than reading a book and i'm sure some pikey postman would have them away!! (appologises to any biker postman)

i think i'll also try the dvla website. and fingers crossed theory test will be in the bag. and then plan to do my practical test probably march time.... just in time for the sun.

Buy the hazard perception disk for the PC NOW!!!!! The test is an utter nightmare and it seems, on my small survey, that it is actually harder to pass if you have driven for a while as your 'perception' of a hazard will be different from a new driver and DVLA etc. The test is rubbish.......

Oh.... And I failed it 4 TIMES!!! The haighway code bit is dead easy mind you!!!!

I agree: the hazard perception part of the test is the trickiest.

Didn't know that one could buy a hazard perception disk .

The hazard preception is easy, i got about 65/75 (something like that).

My bike instructer said that that was a very good score and that most people were getting arround 40-50. The pass mark is only 35.

I think it should be made harder & quicker.

No, it should be removed because it has no baring what so ever on your ability to spot hazards.

i went to the library and got the theory test book.
went through every question and ticked off the 1's i got write immediately then went over the incorrect ones, and so on until i could answer them all right. i think theres about 1200.

alot of them will be 2nd nature to you but you will realise that there are 1's which will give you problems.
the test picks 35 at random so it could be any of the tricky 1's.
i ended up getting 35/35 so the hard work paid off.

the hazard perception i found more tricky because i didn't really know what they were looking for. i ended up clicking at nearly everything and ended up with 0 points on 1 of the videos for overuse of the mouse, so be careful and don't use the mouse too much.
i think i ended up with about 45??

good luck, hope you pass.
