Well... what chilly weather we've been having recently! Brrr!

Well I think Easter is out completely, which is fair enough... and I'm not sure we're going to get this in before then now. So I guess it's really between two dates:

Sunday 3rd April
or
Sunday 10th April

I think I'm keen for the 10th, gives us that extra bit of time to get everyone organised, as well as planning a route. Most of all, it'll hopefully be a bit warmer and drier than it is now! I hope!

As for the route - all suggestions welcome and considered!

I've had some suggestions already. I'm keen to avoid Box Hill... mainly because it's so congested, and the roads are terrible - loads of time wasting too, and difficult when in a pack of bikes.

One possibility is to meet at the Oakdene (this is SelKent afterall)... head south to Rye, then turn west to Horam for lunch/tea at Wessons... then if the weather is holding out, continue west into Sussex towards Horam, before heading back north and east to London/Kent. This route allows us to keep relatively clear of the North-South roads that litter Kent and Sussex, and stick to the long country A and B roads.

Comments please?

The only problem I can see is that the 10th is the first race of the MotoGP...

All I can say is watch the hi-lights, and get on your bike for some fun social riding rather than the usual dozey commute!

You know Bill I was almost getting tempted until I read that!!!!!!!

I can't do the weekend before so looks like I may have to either miss it or make it a short visit based around the motogp. Will definitely be watching that.

Highlights just won't do for the event i have been waiting on for 5 months

Okay.... well I guess the 3rd April it is then!

That way we can all watch the MotoGP the following weekend... probably at Tim's house!

I'll draw up a route for comment with times and meeting place!

Here here! Bung the old video on. The social bit sounds more appealing. Plus it gives my shoulder more time for healing.
