Default I don't agree

I did a dyno, K & N, and carbon fiber yoshi. I noticed a huge difference immediately in performance. I wonder if there are any real figures out there where someone has tested these theories rigorously. After all opinions are like... well you know. Until we have someone who has researched this and can produce reliable data all I have to go on is "I noticed a huge performance increase after the mods."

Before I got the mods done I could barely go over 120mph, now I can do close to 140mph. If nothing else I can hit a higher top seed, and I can pop a wheelie super easy and noticed a huge gain in acceleration.

Loads of people have in fact... Good dynos can be found at JHS Racing among others. My before/after charts were skewed by a broken choke mechanism, which made the bike run seriously rich.

Once I'm back on the bike I will be able to give you a good before/after for my bike, but it'll not be possible to say what's down to what mod unfortunately.

Still, the best (purely logical) way to tune an SV for power is to chop it in for a Cupar's pre-regged thou at £4300, at the end of the day- you can spend the same amount on mods for a 650 as this upgrade'd cost and still not be close, and a highly modded SV with proper insurance costs as much to insure as a thou (trust one who knows )
