It is a lovely bike. The frame is better looking than a Duke trellis frame, at least I think so. My bike is bodged together and still people tell me that it's a great looking bike.

My reply "yeah I know" said in the voice on Little Britain.

I always get looks and thumbs ups from guys on BMWs. I don't know why. THey always say,"Those are nice bikes!" or,"How do youlike the SV?" Stuff like that. I'm always confused by it. THey have $16,000 machines, and they're complimenting my $6,000 machine. It just seems wierd.

Both faired SVs are great looking bikes... The old one's maybe a bit dated now, and I think both really need lowers or a bellypan to look right, but they've got great lines, and there's a solidity about them that newer sportsbikes tend to lack. I largely got an SV over a Hornet for the looks.

Yeah I know, that's what annoys me, it's not like a faired one would have cost you much more...

Actually, if I'm honest, my bike's going to end its days in one of three ways. Either it'll die in service, get turned into a track bike, or get nakedised and depracticalled- dual headlights, huge fat rear tyre, and all the silly things that I'd like to do to the bike but can't at the moment. I reckon the naked SV has potential to be made to look fantastic.
