I'd be interested to know too - I've tried AXAs website but it says to go through MCD for bike insurance (who I'm with at the moment) - I'd like to save a few quid if possible!

I got a discount when I moved out of London to here in the Newbury. I am now paying the criminally high price of £12 per month.

It's via a brokers in Chichester, strangely the documents all have MCD numbers though I was assured that MCD have nothing to do with it it's just all AXA policy numbers start with MCD.

I must say that when I first went to Motorcycle Direct for insurance they where very helpful and cheap yet once they had my money they couldn't have cared less.

Plus they wanted £4500 a year TPFT for the Duke.

I WAS with Churchill - They tried to charge me £13 to renew my policy with them !!! So they thought they'd try and charge a customer £13 extra for being loyal - shouldn't they be knocking £13 off for my loyalty ? Anyway with Bennetts now and got a mega deal. Although I'm 40 plus...I've only had a full licence for 3 months and have a Yellow SK1 (51 reg) garaged to include commuting and the annual premium £144 - thats £2.76 per week for a SV650S - BLIMEY...including free puncture assistance....give em a try....

Only thing with Bennetts is that they wont insure you to ride any other bike, regardless of what cover you have.

I was given £50.00 rebate on my policy when I moved to a lower crime rated area - accept they refused to give it to me until the end of the policy, when I decided to renew elsewhere they didn't give it to me!

Too much hassle to go the financial ombudsman and complain.
