I'm a current Falco owner, had the bike for a bit over a year, so.......

It can easily be used as a sports-tourer, I would say that it it is a bit more on the side of sports than tourer however. I've only done weekends away on mine, but had the panniers on with no probs at all. The normal magnetic tank bags cannot be used but there are other solutions such as the baglux. The Falco is plenty comfy for doing the miles, I would say not dis-similar to the riding position of an SV650 but on a larger scale (this is from the assumption that I went from the sv to the Falco without noticing much difference). If anything, the Falco is slightly to large for me at 5' 9 to be my 'perfect' bike, and can stress shoulders/neck a little when on a long journey, but taller persons seem to have no probs at all. I also do probably 75% of my riding with a pillion, the bike is perfect for this, large enough, decent seat/grab rails and plenty of power so as not to notice on too much loss on acceleration!

Servicing costs can be expensive (like with all Aprilias) - just quoted £380 for the 9000 mile service.

Hope this is of help....... Also, it will 'potentially' be up for sale in the next month as I have also got my eye on a Fazer Thou!

Cheers for the comments Chief. What's the service interval like on them?
Also, why the change to a fazer thou? (interested as I wouldn't want to get one then switch to a fazer for the same reasons!)
