Cloggsy,

Not a lot to rub in at the moment matey! Organising my next bike is proving to be an effing nightmare! The attitude at times of dealers is unbelieveable!

As you might be aware I have decided to leave the Aprilia Mille,(much as I love those bikes!) I am leaning more toward a 749 and then slap on the V twin orchestra,(Termignoni race exhaust, chip and air filters)
I have a friend who said he could maybe get a discount on a new 749 which would mean I could buy the bike and get the exhaust set up at no real additional cost to the list price of the bike. However he is not filling me with conviction that he can deliver on this!
I am trying to be sensible and have set a limit on my spend therefore I can consider a 2004 749 which if at the right price and in top nick, with low km might just make a lot of sense.

Not the most practical option but I am going to look at a Honda VTR SP2 also this weekend.Absolutely mint looking at some pics and with only 6000 km on it. I could slap some nice cans on that and get it set up accordingly for much, much less! Not a Ducati but then again top Honda build and no 5 minute service intervals!

One promising point though is that I have 3 potential buyers fighting over the SV!

BTW u get your chain sorted?

Yes, I dunno why it'd tightened... Maybe the axle bolt wasn't tightened enough & the rear wheel slipped

Seems OK now though, no problems on yesterdays wash-out ( sorry, ride-out )

That's the one... Approaching a roundabout at 60(mph) aquaplaning isn't a hobby of mine, especially with 3 Police motorcyclists approaching the roundabout from the other direction

I lost count of the number of times I lost the back end

I didn't enjoy myself at all

Seriously though it never stopped raining whilst we were riding and to say it was wet would be an understatement

Still enjoyed the company and the day as a whole.

if its any consolation try cleaning all that mud off a black bike mate

and how the HELL did my bike get covered in tar spots it's not like the tar had a chance to melt one of lifes mysteries i suppose

Cloggsy....You have my sympathy mate. There is nothing worse than rain for making a rider somewhat nervous...I hate it! If the back end of your bike was proving to be a bit lively under the slightest throttle openings it can be very scarey and not at all pleasurable.

I just watched that last lap thing again.

Rossi made a good move, because Gibernau had left the door open, I agree about Byrne talking crap too, because Rossi rides like that in most races. feet off the pegs, He was half way past him when the incident happened, he didnt take his rear wheel out or T bone him

Gibernau is whinging about his tendons in his shoulder being damaged and maybe wont do well in Portugal this weekend.

Sete will lose respect from everyone if he continues this crap
