i did the same thing on my zx6r. i have now got a disc lock reminder that goes from the disc lock to the handel bar. it is like coiled green plastic. very usefull bit of kit. cheers. jamie

The 2 times I've nearly moved off with locks on, other people have pointed it out (cheers Mogs!
 ). I'd like to think even if (when?) I do it, I'll not come off, as I make a point of free wheeling the bike (clutch in, sat astride and walking it) for a couple of feet before letting the clutch out. Even so, might be time for me to get a fluorescent chain. My black one is camoflaged against the bike/tyre.

Well..........
Cheers y'all. I think one of those flourescent bungee cords will be purchased this week. Seemingly a small price to pay to help prevent damage and keep pride in tact.
I'm lucky in that the only really visible indication of my stupidity is the scuffed crash bung.

A friend of mine decided to show off on his CBR. So pulled a wheelie from stand still. He remembered the disk lock as he shifted into 2nd gear. I'm sure you can guess what happened next..................
