Only because it wouldn't match your topbox! :P

i understand people are entitled to their own opinions, and believe me I am probably one of the worst for paying top dollar for gear because its got a decent name on it ( just have to ask the missus) , but, what more do you want from a tank bag as long as it sits on the tank ok and I can get a bit of gear in it then thats good enough for me.

I use the one I've got at the moment about twice a week and couldnt give a toss what people think what I look like on my journey into work. When it comes to a little Sunday morning blast around Kent then out comes the designer gear and the tank bag is left in the garage.

By the way what topbox have you got Jon

It comes with a clear see-through cover, so I guess that would make it waterproof

It's a bargain either way

The base unzips to become a flat map holder - useful for those rideouts

I shall use mine with pride

Lidl in Salford and Prestwich sold out of everything except the intercoms and knee warmers.

Thought I might as well save someone a journey !!

PS. Tested intercom to 80mph.... no probs....

What I don't understand is why do you want her nagging you on the bike as well?

Agreed- you're never going to look particularly flash with luggage draped all over the bike, even if you've got a race rep and matching leathers.

As an aside, I think this (these) thread(s) will go down in history here. Any time anyone asks about a tank bag, someone will link to this, etc.
