just sorted this for my trip. travel insurance was £8 and european breakdown cover was £44. I guess it's one of those "I wish I had" or "I'm glad I did" situations. For just over £50 I think you'd be foolish not to atleast have euro breakdown cover...

If you're TPFT cover, I doubt that your insurers would upgrade you to comprehensive mid term, reason being if you then go and wrap the bike around a tree the next day they might see it as a bit of a coincidence. Worth a phone call though.

This thread could be a good sticky in the Euro section. For PERSONAL TRAVEL rather thna bike insurance I mean.
