When you say longer brake lines, will the standard replacement two line system from HEL be ok or did you have to get them custom made up?
I contacted Intobike.co.uk and asked them for 650S HEL lines +3". These in fact are a bit too long. +2" would be enough. I think it cost £65 for the two front brake lines and another for the rear.

I was looking at these again. One consern that i have is that when you want to use the bars at a lower level you cannot bolt the fork clamp into the bottom of the yoke. As brought up my the maker this is possably an issue, does that bolt hold the clamp at all from moving or is it just a locator point. Is it safe not to have it?

Reason i dont think i want a whole two inches higher, probably just one inch.

practically all aftermarket clipons are the same, so I wouldn't personally give it much thought. Logically, there's going to be an increased chance of your bar gettign driven into the tank in an off, I suppose, but day to day I don't think there's any safety risk. I've got Fireblade clipons (well, one Fireblade clipon and one GSXR clipon) on mine and it doesn't bolt to the yoke either. I could care less I think

I might well be interested in a group buy too- I think my GSXR clipons are hollow and so might not work so well, I'll need to give that a think. It's proving hard to find the TLS ones I'm after.

I think you'll find almost all the after market one use 'two bolt' clamping system. Personally , I would not buy an after market clipon with a single bolt clamping system.

By the way TSM , you can still bolt the clipons to the bottom of the top yoke if you so desire. Get longer bolts and put a spacer inbetween clamp an dthe top yoke.

Cheers
Ben

Default SUN RISERS

Having had a looksee at their website I reckon that the price of these is close on £100 including shipping from the good old USA to here. Now 27USD is the shipping costs, so if we buy bulk and do not get a discount on the actual purchase price we sure as hell are gonna get a discount on shipping, cos 10 risers aint going to cost 270 USD to post are they?
Anyway, I'm going to be ordering mine soon for my K3

What i meant was that most lack the bolt through to the yokes. I've seen aquite a few with 1-bolt and quite a few with 2-bolts... Most with 2 seems to pitch that mainly as a convenience thing since you can remove them without removing the top yoke, rather than a security thing.

Not sure about this one, so bear with me here......

Have noticed a tendancy for the SV to shake it's head a bit more since fitting the Sun-Risers, exacerbated by my new Road attacks. Full on tank-slapper a few weeks back and another a couple of days ago. Don't remember anything like this before these two mods'. Everything is fitted correctly, aligned and in good condition (bearings etc).

Anybody else noticed a tendancy toward instability since fitting the bar risers?

Think I'm gonna try a top yoke from the N model and normal bars..... anybody got some?

Rich
