I used a Hagon on my early GSXR and it was significantly better than stock, bike only had 16,000 miles so the shock still had plenty of damping.
Wonder how much a new stock SV650 shock is from Suzuki, bet you it's more than a Hagon. |

Hey Skiddy,
![]() If you are intent on changing suspension components, the guys and gals here have already given you some good advice. I've not done the bouncy bits on my curvy yet, but when I do they'll be Hagon. I used their progressive springs and rear shock on my old CBR 750 Hurricane. Initially, the bike felt weird, giving a plush almost too soft feel. As I got used to it though, I realised that the suspension was just doing it's job far more efficiently than before. Cornering and rapid direction changes were far more confidence inspiring; it was fab'! Hagon products are good quality, fairly priced, their shocks are re-buildable and their customer service, in my experience, is great. ![]() Also remember, suspension is designed not just to isolate you from bumps, it needs to keep the tyre in contact with the road surface. Thats why race suspension on the road is not really the best set up! ![]() |
