You'd probably be fine with an M5x10 as well, if that's any help. It's the same size as you get in most screen bolt kits, I think, so if you have any of those you're sorted.

I've had them both held on with just one bolt for the past 3 months with no problems.

Hang on, I just reread the question... At the rear it's not bolts, it's 2 of those black plastic popper things like you find under the nose. Or it is on mine anyway... Or it was till I lost them. Basically there's the dome-headed bolt at the front. There's the slot at the top that I think goes around the seat bolt. And there's the plastic thingers at the back. No?
The front bolt's all you need IMO.

True, the little placcy popper things aren't really needed, and they're something daft like £1.50 or £2 each from Suzuki, don't bother.

He's right you know. It's like a plastic washer with expansion bits. when you push the dowel in it pops the bits out wider than the hole preventing it coming back out. Not really needed. but you could always force a bolt through it if it mattered that much. just be careful not to crack the plastic.

Though my dealers sell 'em for 10p each. I bought a big bag last time since I lose so many
