Depends how cilent the knock is,
I had a simmillar sympton in my sv, it was the cnain telling me it was on its way out.....then it snapped! |

Just depends how hard it is to get the bearings out, I've not done it on an SV... But I think it's getting a bit ahead to talk about doing that at the mo, since steering bearings don't seem a likely suspect for your noise unless you tankslap everywhere
