I had Metz Sportec-M1 on my SV and they were excellent in the dry (both on road and track), gave good wear and were OK in the wet. They just won the MCN award for their class (see this weeks ediion) Second were Diablos which I've used on the GSXR for a year. Fantastic. Unless you are doing over 6 or 7K miles a year (which some on this forum significantly exceed, but most I'm sure don't), I'm not convinced you need a sports tourer tyre, but I guess more important it to chose one you feel comfortable with and the profile suits your riding style.
