I have to get a pair of tyres at the weekend sadly. However, Watlings are doing my preferd flavour of tyre, the 020, for silly monry, like £170 a pair, compared to nearer 190 for all other brands. They dont list the road attacks which i would really like to try, so a phone call will be made., but £170 a pair to loose wheels is blardy cheap for 020's

Really?
When mine had a puncture at 4k it was still perfectly visible and the front one I only just changed at 11.5k still has the writing visible.
I've done 750 miles on them and the writing on the rear is now missing from the centre line and is wearing nicely further up the sides. Another 500 miles and it'll be gone.

Well, I think we've established that I ride like a bit of a girl.
Though I will say, my first 2-3k on on the contis was pretty much all in wet weather.
