I have to admit I got a bit confused when first changing my oil! I kept trying to undo something that was not the drain plug! if I remember doesn't a piece of the engine casing sit out next to the drain plug? Remember you are undoing something that is in upside down, ensure you really are not tighteneing it even further.
As mentioned the bolt is a spanner jobbie and not an Allan key one, like what I was trying to do! DUURRRRR!

I had the exact same problem with my oil drain plug a few weeks ago. Bugger just did not want to come off, am sure the dealer over-tightened it.

Before trying again I made sure I had a new bolt and washer (only about £2) as I had a feeling I'd wreck the other one getting it out.

I got a longer wrench and after much straining and rounding off of the edges of the bolt, I lightly hammered a slightly smaller socket over the top of the existing one, and that finally removed it.

Retorqued the new one to the proper settings and all is now well.

Yeah when I was helping Cap't Nemo do his oil change he undid a wrong bolt and was moaning that there was no oil coming out. Sorry mark

It's definitely the right bolt I'm trying to undo.

Sudoxe had a similar problem doing an oil change so I think the safest option is going to be to get it to the dealership and get them to undo it since they tightened it, rather than me doing something stupid trying to get it off like snapping the head off the bolt.

That seems like a sensible idea - don't let them charge you mind.
