PC111, Yoshi box? Whatever happened to polishing your ports and valves? New fangled gadgets! Pah!

Steve Jordan do the Yoshi tune for £47, and it's just a case of booking it in with Steve.
Not sure its 10 times the cost mate.. PC111's are 284 quid even if you decided to buy at UK list price.
The choice to an injection remap ( which is what the yoshi tune is )is to buy at a realistic price of £150 import.
Easy to de-install if you sell your SV.
Absolutely more fun doing it yourself providing the chance to upload various injection maps as well as tweaking parameters for throttle position/rev range - i.e. accelerator pump.
Cheers Graham

Have to agree with this. At the right price the Power Commander is something worth considering, I only paid £155 for mine, and after installing it I did have a bit of fun playing around with it and the good thing is it's very easy to make changes but it's also very easy to change the bike back to stock if need be, not something that can be easily done if you get the ECU modified using a Yoshi/Teka box.

Also it's something that can be resold so you can get some of your money back when your done with it.

all very well but insurance companys don't seem t like power commanders much cos they are seen as a performance mod

True, but normally if you've got a Power Commander you'll have an aftermarket exhaust and possibly an aftermarket air filter on as well some other mods like the TRE etc. so not exactly the only thing they'll be worried about is it?

I would also be interested to find out if a restricted ECU is allowed to be modified using a Teka/Yoshi box as surely this would be undoing the 33bhp restriction to a certain degree would it not?

i was told no, it will make no difference being an electric ecu it will not allow the bike to go above the 33bhp restriction. on the carbed version now that would make a difference
