You might need a filter wrench to get it undone, try undoing it by hand, the oil filter threads into the engine

Thanks, what about removing the cap though, should that just screw off too?

Thanks for the tip but just phoned the g/f's dad and he's got an attachment for the filter. He's also got a rivet tool for the chain he's gonna sort me out with ![]() |

Just hammer a large screwdriver through the side of the filter and use that to remove it.
