Seriously though, is it just down to that? I'm sure I do need some alignment done on my SV.

hello boys!
the bike is not going to the right so badly...i know only , that i set the rear wheel correct with the marks on the swingram...so, as most of you say, probably wouldnt worry about it...
will drive in the middle of the road

don't use the marks to align the front wheel. I'm sure someone will be along to explain the process of doing it without - bits of string involved i think.

In my experience if the bike pulls to the right with your hands off the bars (consistently) then the back wheel is pointing to the right, i.e. the right-hand chain adjuster is oulled further back than the left one. The swingarm marks aren't very clear or accurate - use them as a guide only. Try adjusting the left-hand chain adjuster half a turn more (pulling the wheel back on that side) than the right, ride it again and try it. Another symptom of when it's wrong is that you might feel it go into right-handers more easily than left-handers. Give it a go. Never tried the bits of wood-string thing, but this has always worked for me.

You know I never knew that the front wheel was adjustable. As for the markers. I think someone must have robbed them as no matter how hard I look, I can't seem to find the front wheel adjustment markers.
