In addition to the good advice above, if you find a stubborn bolt will just turn a fraction and then goes tight (quite common), then apply more penetrating oil/WD etc and turn it BACK again.
Then try again and repeat the process as often as it takes to get it out. The object is to get the penetrant into the thread gap, which there obviously is because it will move a fraction. Whatever you do don't be tempted to try just that bit harder to undo it once it goes tight, that'll shear it off. A quarter of an hour spent fiddling back and forth is a lot less hassle that having to get a sheared bolt out. |

I'm a fan of Plus Gas over WD40 for stuff like this too. Not had much cause to use it on the bike but it always seems to be that bit more persuasive at work when time is more of an issue.
A word to the wise though; try not to accidentally spray it in your earhole. The smell gets you some funny looks! [no really] |

Heat works! I dont know why but it does. A close friend has had a tyre and exhaust business for quite a while, and using heat is the regular method for removing stuborn bolts.
I use WD40 first. If that aint working, then out comes the blow torch. |
