I had a Quill T3 titanium on my sv. Easy to keep clean, long lasting and easy to fit.
I too was nervous about cutting my original pipe so I used masking tape to give me a line to cut to befor eI started.
If you need any help or advice don't hesitate to ask, I'm not that far away.

bbc's is one of the reasons ive gone for ccc's ( ) her's sounds and looks awesome as does tim's and stumpy's.

when it arrives i will no doubt be posting for more advice
