OTOH... I found the pattern ones I used to be very fragile, and when I looked at the break after snapping one off I could see there were bubbles throughout the lever where it had snapped. I ended up getting used OEM parts from Ebay.

By the way, when using paddock stands here's a couple of tips that worked for me while I was on crutches (wasn't allowed to put any weight on my right leg, yet still never dropped the bike off the paddock stand- you pillock )

When putting it on the stand, stick something under the sidestand to straighten the bike up to near vertical (not all the way or it might fall) For mine a half brick is perfect.

Bungeeing the sidestand solidly to something solid nearer the front- I used an R&G but there's plenty of likely suspects- reduces the risk of folding it up. Putting it in gear should make the dismount more controlled too as it won't roll forwards. You could fix the front brake lever back but I think that's overkill.

When putting it down, I lower it till both wheels are down but leave the stand in place, then move to the left rear of the bike and simply pull it towards me. It'll practically balance without human intervention with the stand still in place, even though it's barely taking any weight- for a few moments at least. Make sure that if it does overbalance, it goes to the left and not the right- even if it falls on the left as long as the sidestand's down it'll probably be fine.

It's all about balance, not strength- if this 60 kilo, one legged monkey man can do it safely with the cheapest, nastiest stand out there, so can you
