ive heard about this before. an old work colleague was from SA and he explained about those wires by the side of the road - apparently its something to do with lorries???? but it proves deadly for bikers.

No wonder we have so many South African bikers in the UK. It is just too dangerous for them out there.

Many years ago one of my South African friends had to take a UK test as his license is only valid for a year. Turns up at the test centre on his 750/4 no L plates etc in the time before DAS.

The examiner had to check the rules to see if he could take his test on the bike (yes) as at the time he was use to learners on 250s and would have to run that little bit quicker to the different observation points as he rode 4 times round the block.
