I've done over 50,000 miles on my gel seat and can't fault it. It's let me sit in the saddle for as long as I've ever needed in a single go with no physical complaints.

as far as im aware yes they do hold the water if it rains etc but the other thing is if it gets wet and then freezes you get a lovely ice cube to sit on [/code]

Hmmm, wish I could try one out 1st. Doesn't look like any Corbin customers out there. Right now I can only go ~1 hour before my rear hurts too much.

I can only assume that I have an odd shape backside because I have never got an aching backside however long i ride for, my wrists ache though!

Mine's like a big comfy sponge. Also comparatively slidy in some gearI keep on meaning to get it recovered... Still, the different in comfort was huge for me, far better, and the lower seat means I can run the rear higher without falling off at the traffic lights. Often. I'd not go back to stock...
