I think Carol Nash don't mind about race cans.
hope not.
They do mind. They wanted loads of extra money for race cans on the raptor so I took them off it.
It depends entirely who your policy is with as CN is only the broker.

I'm on their Ikons policy through Royal Sun Alliance and CN said they don't mind at all providing it doesn't substantially add to the power of the bike. They didn't want any extra premium or admin fee. So maybe next time your renewal comes up ask them to check which policies they have that will accept non road legal cans.

yes i told them, it cost no more extra and i had written confirmation the next day.

my policy allows me to have an end can up to a value of £300 before any extra payments are required on the policy

i'm with bennetts btw

It's not a problem now anyway because I've got road legal remus cans on it that they're happy about. They're still quite loud but not deafening like the CCC ones were

Interesting that you say that, because after riding Sid Squid's SV1000 I found the Art cans he's got on simply too loud for me and when I move on to the same bike I too shall fit twin Remus Revolutions which I reckon will be about perfect noise-wise and quite legal.

There are two obstacles to overcome, both are budgets. One belongs to the bank manager and the other to Mrs jonboy . If I can sort them both out then next spring would be nice (black K5 1000 naked with Renthals, twin lights, twin Remus Revolutions and a couple of teeth more on the rear sprocket ).

Thinking of gettin a can, asked insurance and as long as its road legal it makes no difference, even at my age! i'd have thought they would want to screw a few other pennies out of me.

Why? The standard can is far more expensive to replace than an after market one.
