It'l be worth it

lookin' forward to it. I regularly do 300 mile rides when i get free time. so it shouldn't be much worse going for 500. can't say i've ever been uncomfortable on the sv. i once done a 230 mile ride on a 50cc... THAT was uncomfortable. since then i've had buns of steel

the most recorded miles i done in a day was 300
london - plymouth (the long way) followed by a ride out in the afternoon.

plenty of water - breaks and have a good brekkie.

im sure you will be fine . . the time flies when your on the bike anyway.

Longest ride in 1 hit this year was:......... SW Birmingham to Stafford, Stafford to Southampton, Southampton to Bodmin, Bodmin to Southampton, Southampton to Birmingham,Birmingham to Stafford. Walk to pub have couple of pints and fall over ! Auto route shows it to be approx 838 miles....... done on sv1000 and yes did get a sore ****

637 miles from Basildon to Bordeaux and it ****ed down from the minute I set off, to the minute I arrived!

.............And I didn't have any waterproofs.

i'm beginning to question my sexuality guys

some of u have ridden miles more than i could in one day, i think 300ish is gona destroy me but the true test will be in the week when the forcast is good.
ive done 150 miles on mr old kwak and cbr and bandit but never on the sv

time will tell.
speak your minds and tell the truth do you think its a bit girly to but some extra sponge padding on the sv's seat to help relive the pain?

468 miles is the furthest I've travelled in a day (on a sculpted gel-seat) & my ass still hurt afterwards... The OEM gel-seat is much better... Isn't it Richie1743

I've done a few 300 odd mile trips on my SV, cramp inducing in themselves.
Worst trip by bike was when I rode to Peterborough on my GSXR streetfighter, followed a strange route and avoided motorways as much as possible on the way there, snake pass to sheffield and so on.
It ended up being about 360 miles by the time I was done. I creaked and groaned like a re-animated corpse the next day.

Just over 700 miles in a day at the moment but in a few weeks I am going to be having a go at the IronButt bunbuster award 1500 miles in 36 hours.
