no, i only asked as the us site u directed me to gave options of 2" and 4" dog bones and i wondered if thats how far it dropped the bike. even i thort 4" was too far, tho it wud be fun from a handling perspective! i've a 28" inside leg and tho the sv is well tall, just toe of boot on each side i'm upping my act and riding better with more appreciation of the road surface. it's turning around thats more the issue but i'm getting there
did get stuck when i parked too far from the kerb recently tho, cuddent get her upright! wot a muppet!

Gotcha. Definately look at lowering and narrowing the seat as well, that can make a big difference. The gel seat for the curvy coincidentally does this, and it's great. Basically means I can crank the rear up another inch comfortably.

i mean i'm not a faithful to the sv kinda girly, m8 was selling one, i was looking, u know how it is.
very limited as to what i can ride for height, and despite what everyone tells me, it isnt all about confidence, ure feet do have to touch the floor!
u shudda seen the face on the salesman when i stood up a xjs1300 tehe
my lowered seat is en route from ebay, it's at the post office, will get it on weds, then we can reveiw the situation. if not lowered enuf at least i have a spare to be going on with!
the curvy seat is well wide in comparison to my latest bike, does make a difference!
thanx for ure reply

Default dogbones

I just lowerd my sv650s too. It cost me 10.00 canadian. We went to a steel shop, bought 2 pieces of steel a bit longer than the origionals and matched the hole size, drilled the two holes and shaped the steel with a grinder. That's it, total cost 10.00, piece of cake.

We make fully adjustable lowering links and when we bought the product line, we were told they were sold to a few SV650 owners. We are looking into what models/Years. They cost a little more than replacement dogbones but give a full range of adjustment without a major effort.

Hope we can provide womething you folks like. There's a lot of
GSXR, R1-R6 and ZX riders using them, many adjust real low for streetfighting to get more weight on back wheel, then adjust back for the curvy roads.

you can see them at www.naarden.biz

thanks

side note, we just found it doesn't fit a 2003 SV1000 so don't
trust our web site, we'll correct it shortly and are working with that
purchaser to modify it to fit. If you have an interest write us directly
and we'll check you model/year for proper fitament.

thanks again

Ey up Sooz,

I'm only 5ft 4 1/2in, i've got a K5 nakid and when I ordered it the height was ok but I also opted for an original Suzuki lowered seat and what a difference it has made, not only is the seat lowered but they also have taken some out of the width too. Get the seat on then maybe you won't need the dog bones.

Jo.
