At 5' 6" you shouldn't need the bike lowered
![]() You might feel like you do at first, and if you really feel like you're going to drop it, get a cut down seat and some crash bungs ![]() You don't want to mess about lowering the suspension n such unless you really have to. |

Hello and welcome to the site!
You are 5'6 and need to lower the bike? When you sit on a bike are your feet flat on the ground or on tip toes? I'm not quite 5'2 and I've had to lower my bike a lot, especially when I first started as the SV is my first bike. You could get a lowered seat and boots with a built up sole, you really don't want to start messing with the suspension settings unless you really need to. I would suggest getting a scottoiler and crash bungs as a priority. I dropped my bike a lot at first as I was very inexperienced and the bike was too tall for me. Don't worry about not knowing a lot about bikes, I new absolutely nothing except there appeared to be a couple of wheels missing. You'll pick it up really quick and there are loads of very knowledgeable people on this forum. |
