I'd presume it's the rotor too- get the front wheel off and have a look.

The Magnetic rotor is £14.95 and the whole sensor is £99 from Suzuki. I got the Sensor for £41 inc del from a breakers

This seems to be a problem a lot of people have. If you have the wheel off and catch the rotor its done for and can take upto 500miles to fail.

There is a nice little mod you can do to change the speedo to the one used on the gixer. I read it on SVrider someware

My bike has exactly the same problem. One minute it's working (usually when complaining about it to hubby).. the next ..nothing! It's very annoying trying to guess my speed through cameras.

Has anyone actually cured this problem? If so, how?

I guess im lucky i had a total failure

I will scan the Haynes manual pages in if any one wants em pm me. Not sure if there is anything in the downloadable files.

Note. The Haynes manual is worth buying £19.95 from Halfords
