I have a K3 model, and also have fitted the Hemicad tail tidy.

The original fitting has two lugs, and a rubber band which holds the toolkit in place. No little box. (also some clips for the tank prop)

Although I haven't found a hi-tech solution, I have found that putting in a huge chain lock fills the underseat compartment and has enough to weight the toolkit down, and stop it from rattling around.

It also works as a handy anti-theft device when you park your bike

Only K4 and K5 have that.

You can sometimes get a spare SV tool kit from E-bay for about £5.

It seems that a few Vtwin bikes have a hinged tank to get to the rear pot and the carbs/fuel system, and my mate's ducati has a lock rather than a tank prop bar.

your local dealer will probably give you one for free. if they do charge you they'll probably only cost about 50p

Its a K3 SV650S. I have removed the bar and the tool kit.
Whatever you do, do not touch this rod, it is made of super inductive plutonium, it stores the power that an SV has and helps to keep the Suzuki tame

That's the starting handle.
